"Living with bipolar disease - Strategies for balance and resilience", by Lynn Hodges. I highly recommend this book. It covers the main aspects of bipolar disease and tells the personal experience of the author. She provides "strategies for balance and resilience" that are very helpful (at least, they have been very helpful to me).

"An unquiet mind", by Kay Redfield Jamison.
According with New York Times Book Review, it is "an invaluable memoir of manic depression, at once medically knowledgeable, deeply human and beautifully written... at times poetic, at times straightforward, always unashamedly honest". I couldn't agree more with this review.
