About me
I was diagnosed with bipolar when I was 21. Back then, I was hospitalized in a mental institution. It was the worst week of my life, being in a place with strange people, each with a different mental problem, feeling I did not belong there. It took me a long time to come to terms with this disease. At first I thought it defined me, it explained my behavior, my feelings, everything. Nowadays, I believe bipolar is just a part of who I am and that I am so much more than a woman with bipolar. I still have crisis, but I am getting better and now I am able to identify symptoms early (still need some help though, from family, friends and my doctor).
I am creative (love writing and painting), funny, generous, humble. Sometimes I am pessimistic, others optimistic (it depends on my mood).
I like painting, taking pictures of everything (specially beautiful landscapes), going for walks in the countryside, reading, listening to all kinds of music, watching TV shows, animals, gardening, taking care of the environment...
